• Don’t work with any clients requests that could violate yours beliefs, reputation or inexperience. You are the worker you do what feels right.
  • Feel free to give ‘shout outs’ to other designers especially when they help you out. Make a community out of what you do for a living, make the job more enjoyable with others as they may help you in need one day.
  • Don’t take the power of publicity for granted, always appreciate your customers without abusing the resources they give you.
  • Make sure the work that’s being requested or the things you create are morally and ethically right for everyone. You need to abide by the law.
  • Don’t like a certain client ‘ruin’ that good streak of projects done as theirs maybe a bit plain. Tell them suggestions as a designer how you would do it, if they completely disagree then business can always not be taken any further.
  • When designing for an advertisement make sure you know what your target audience is because you could create a ‘master piece’ but its focused at the wrong audience meaning success will be affected which will leave you with bad reputation.
  • Question yourself the effects of the design you made before sending/printing it. You have to think whether this fits the criteria your client has given you and also if it works ti standards.
  • You need to engage with your client regularly whether by email or in person. Show the ideas you have, let them analyse it and get their word before continuing.
  • Use the skills you have to affect the modern world today. For example global warming, overpopulation try to make tomorrow better than today.
  • Finally, make the socially conscious design consideration a regular procedure with everything you do in life even outside of the design industry.
